In 2017, the RVU Alliance, having fulfilled its mission, dissolved as an active standards body and transitioned certification operations to the Consumer Technology Association.  This page has past events hosted by the RVU Alliance prior to this transition.

  • DIRECTV attended to present their use of RVU technology.

 

Jan 7-10, 2014: International Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2014) in Las Vegas


  • Samsung made the first demonstration of 4K content delivery over an RVU network. JetHead had a private meeting room and showed RVU1 and RVU2 demonstrations.

 

Sep 13-17, 2013: International Broadcasting Convention (IBC 2013) in Amsterdam

  • JetHead and DIRECTV showed all the latest RVU technology in the DLNA booth (14.430). 
  • On display was the DIRECTV HR44 RVU server, Samsung RVU TV, Sony RVU TV and DIRECTV C41W wireless RVU client.

Jan 8-11, 2013: International Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2013) in Las Vegas

  • JetHead demonstrated RVU-RUI technology in LVCC, South Hall 2, MP26045. Samsung also had RVU technology on display inside their 2013 TV line-up.

 

Sep 7-11,  2012: International Broadcasting Convention (IBC 2012) in Amsterdam

  • DIRECTV, Broadcom, Entropic, JetHead, Pace and Samsung jointly received an award as contributors to the DIRECTV Home Media Center and RVU technology, which was a co-finalist of the Content Delivery award category.

 

May 2-3, 2012: Connected TV World Summit (CTV’2012) in London


  • JetHead made a presentation on the features and benefits of RVU Technology at the conference.
  • DIRECTV, Samsung, and the RVU Alliance demonstrated RVU RUI technology, being used to connect a DIRECTV Home Media Center DVR directly to a Samsung TV without the need for a Set-Top-Box. The technology won the award for “Outstanding Technology Innovation”. JetHead presented the demo at the summit, on behalf of the RVU Alliance, who sponsored the demo.

  • JetHead demonstrated RVU along with DIRECTV, Sigma and Marvell and the RVU Alliance on the Entropic booth 3.B16. 

 

May 2010: The Cable Show 2010 in Los Angeles

  • JetHead demonstrated RVU technology in the Entropic booth #1813.
